Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam has signed a proclamation recognizing September as Campus Fire Safety Month. Tennessee is the fourth state in 2014 to issue a proclamation, joining Illinois, Wisconsin and Georgia.
Now in its 10th year, the Campus Fire Safety Month campaign has had 268 proclamations issued plus resolutions in the United States Senate and House of Representatives. You can learn more about it and download the letter, co-signed by 25 parents who have lost children in campus-related fires, that was sent to all of the governors and the District of Columbia.

Campus Fire Prevention Survey
Also, have you taken our survey? We’re looking for information on what works (and what doesn’t!) when it comes to campus fire prevention. This short survey will help identify the different methods and content that work in fire prevention based on feedback from people in the field. The results of the survey will be made freely available, and the more data we have, the more accurate it will be! Please help by clicking here and filling it out (it is short, trust me!).
