Two Firefighters Burned in Pine Grove (CA) House Fire

Two firefighters were injured fighting a house fire in Pine Grove in Amador County, reports

Cal Fire firefighter Aaron Williams, 22, of Plymouth, was airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center. Cal Fire spokesperson Brice Bennett said Williams suffered second and third degree burns on 16 percent of his upper body. Williams’ condition was described as moderate on Thursday. He has been with Cal Fire for two years.

Bennett said a Cal Fire crew was aiding Amador Fire Protection District firefighters at the fire off East Clinton Road about 9:30 p.m. An Amador Fire Protection firefighter also suffered burns, described as moderate, and was taken to Sutter Amador Hospital. He was reported in stable condition. His name wasn’t released.

The cause of the fire hasn’t been confirmed.

Bennett said both fire agencies were reviewing what happened.
