Arson investigators were at a house Friday in southwest Detroit where a fire killed two people, reports clickondetroit.com.
Two men were killed in the fire Friday morning and investigators believe it was no accident. Sources tell Local 4 one man in his 40s poured gas on his partner and on himself before lighting the fire.
Family members have identified one of the men as 22-year-old Edward Pickle Jr., of southwest Detroit. They say Pickle was killed by his partner.
“One person was upset with his partner and poured accelerant on him and threw a match, apparently,” said Assistant Police Chief Steven Dolunt. “Unfortunately, when he did it, it caused a trail that came back to their body and they were engulfed in flames as well.”
