The U.S. Fire Administration’s National Fire Academy and the Presidio in San Francisco recently cosponsored an Academy field program of 11 specialized courses of fire prevention and control.

Over 500 students from both paid and volunteer departments in several western states attended the program. In addition, a number of law enforcement officers, architects and other allied professionals participated.

Courses included Fire/Arson Investigation, Educational Methodology, Labor Management Relations, Pesticide Fire and Spill Control, Smoke Detector Training. Fire Safe Building Design, and Fire/Arson Detection.
