Concord (CA) Brush Fire Puts Homes in Danger

A wild fire burning near the old Concord Naval Weapons (CA) station is putting one home in “immediate” danger of being destroyed and threatening at least one other home, reports The San Francisco Chronicle.

The fire has grown to 150 acres and is not contained, said Capt. Robert Marshall, with the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.

“We have four to five structures, two are houses that are threatened,” Marshall said. “One of the houses is in immediate danger.”
A Cal Fire aircraft has been called in to battle the flames from the air, Marshall said.
