E-ONE Awarded Contract for 10 ARFF Units

E-ONE has been awarded a contract for ten Titan Force 4×4 Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles valued at more than $7.5 million. The ARFF units were ordered by the U.S. Army’s Tank-Automotive Command (TACOM) contracting center on behalf of the Government of Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense.

“We are very proud and honored to continue providing emergency vehicles to the Kuwaiti government and have valued them as an important customer for many years,” said R.J. Jones, E-ONE sales manager for the U.S. Government and ARFF product line. “The Titan Force 4×4 is designed with the latest technologies available and provides the ultimate firefighting capabilities under some of the toughest conditions worldwide.”

The new ARFF units feature a 1,585 gallon (6,000 liter) water tank, 205 gallons (776 liters) of foam, and 500 pounds of dry chemical. The units are built to exceed the latest NFPA 414 requirements in extinguishment, stability, and off-road performance while offering one of the safest cabs in the industry.

Another recent purchase by TACOM includes a 2009 order for 11 Titan Force 6×6 ARFF units on behalf of the Defense Logistics Agency. Those vehicles are now being delivered to the U.S. Army Multi-National Forces to be deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
