FIRE INSPECTOR TOM DILLON of the Mahwah (NJ) Fire Department received the Marc Mueller Fire Prevention Award of Excellence from the National Volunteer Fire Council. He assisted in setting up Mahwah?s Safety Town summer program for preschool children and two Survival Days for public fire safety programs. He installed more than 100 smoke detectors in the homes of elderly and low-income families. Among other duties, he has been fire inspector for Mahwah for 11 years and is a fire sub-code official for the boroughs of Riverdale and Butler, New Jersey.
