Fire Safety Program

Fire Safety Program

A master’s degree program in fire protection engineering has been established by Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass. According to David A. Lucht, director of the WPI Center for Fire Safety Studies, the program is designed for students with a B.S. degree in engineering or science. The program of study may be specialized or broad, depending upon the student’s own objective and previous experience in the field, if any.

Initially, this will be an evening program with a limited class size. This will give the faculty the flexibility to develop the new program to best suit the needs of the students and the profession.

People interested in the new program can obtain further information from Lucht at the WPI Center for Fire Safety Studies, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, Mass. 01609.
