First winner of Campus Firewatch Media Project announced

Lindsey Weaver from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is the first winner in the Campus Firewatch Media Project. In the photo above she is being awarded her $500.00 check by Chapel Hill Fire Chief Dan Jones and Fire Marshal Matt Lawrence. Lindsey’s winning entry was about her experience on Capitol Hill during the launch of National Campus Fire Safety Month and it appeared in the September issue of Campus Firewatch.

The Campus Firewatch Media Project is a collaboration of Campus Firewatch, the Michael H. Minger Foundation and the People’s Burn Foundation and encourages students to become engaged in fire safety by writing articles for publication in Campus Firewatch.
