Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) seeks review and comment from individuals and organizations interested in helping develop the first edition of the Standard for Safety for Residential Sprinklers for Fire Protection Service, UL 1626.

The requirements for the installation and use of sprinklers are included in the following: the Standards for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems (NFPA 13) and in Installation of Sprinkler Systems in Oneand Two-Family Dwellings and Mobile Homes (NFPA 13D).

UL welcomes suggestions on sprinkler functions or characteristics to be evaluated, ideas regarding test methods or other means of evaluation, and other suggestions or comments that may help in the development of the standard.
