Fire crews have knocked down a fire in the cab of a semi-trailer tanker hauling jet fuel and traveling westbound on Interstate 70 near Eagle on Tuesday morning, reports The Denver Post (http://dpo.st/1zf4Iby)
The interstate was closed for about two hours until 9:15 a.m. as officials put out the blaze.
The Greater Eagle Fire Protection District said the fire was contained to the truck’s cab, adding that the tanker was specifically hauling Jet A fuel.
“Crews working the fire to prevent it from igniting tank,” fire officials said after the fire broke out.
