Michigan Firefighter Dies After Suffering Cardiac Arrest During Incident

A 67-year-old Michigan firefighter has died after suffering cardiac arrest during an incident.

According to the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA), Casnovia Township Fire Department Firefighter Richard Leo Crosby, Sr. , suffered a cardiac arrest during a fire call incident that occurred on September 24. He was taken off of life support and succumbed to his injury on the 26.

He served 44 years in the fire service.

To date, 64 firefighter fatalities have been reported to USFA in 2015.
