Mobile Home Fire Safety
Construction standards are being revised by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to improve fire safety in mobile homes. Combustibility and smoke generation requirements for interior finshes are being reviewed along with the locations and sensitivity levels of smoke detectors.
Doors for alcove furnace installations, additional fire warning devices and fire extinguishers are also being considered.
