On Monday evening, several fire departments battled a large residence fire at an estimated 7,000-square-feet structure near Mooresville, Indiana.

Upon arrival of the first-due engine, crews found was heavy fire throughout the entire residence. This compelled firefighters to fight the fire from the exterior, working to protect a multicar detached garage. The house was a long distance from the roadway, requiring approximately 4,000 feet of large diameter hose had to be laid from the nearest hydrant to provide an adequate water supply.
