New NFPA projects proposed

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has received requests to establish standards for two new areas: (1) the manufacture and use of flash fire protective garments used in the petrochemical, chemical, and related industries and (2) standardizing public education messages.

Interested parties are invited to comment on these projects and to present the following information: resources pertaining to the subject matter; the names of prospective committee members, if the committees are established; the names of other organizations actively involved in these areas; and whether the projects are needed.
