NFPA accepting proposals for proposed new 1994 standard

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Technical Committee on Hazardous Materials Protective Clothing and Equipment is accepting proposals until April 30 for the new NFPA 1994, Standard on Protective Ensembles for Chemical or Biological Terrorism Agents. The proposed standard will provide specific criteria for protective ensembles or clothing for use in protecting emergency services personnel during chemical or biological terrorism incidents. A preliminary draft of the document is available on NFPA`s Web site, www.nfpa.org, or may be requested by faxing NFPA`s Standards Administration at (617) 770-3500 or by e-mail to stds.admin@nfpa.org.
