Quincy, MA – The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) invites any established Hazardous Materials Incident Response Team from a fire department, police department, or other public-funded program to apply for the Warren E. Isman Memorial Award. This $2,500 scholarship will enable the organization’s team to attend a national or regional haz-mat training conference.
Teams will be evaluated on the following criteria:
1. Leadership qualities.
2. Communication abilities.
3. Training to the levels outlined in NFPA 472 and 473.
Applicants must submit a letter to the committee addressing the criteria and their accomplishments in these areas. Include the names of all team members (five maximum) and details about the conference they would like to attend. The deadline for applying is September 15
