Oregon City (OR) (KOIN 6) — A three-alarm fire raged inside an Oregon City commercial building Wednesday morning and spread to several businesses before a swarm of firefighters were able to bring it under control.

More than 60 firefighters from Clackamas County and Portland began fighting back flames in the 1000 block of SW Molalla Avenue around 5 a.m. Within the first hour, the fire had reached three separate businesses within a single building, according to the fire official.

One firefighter was hurt and was transported to a local hospital with minor burn injuries, according to Clackamas County Fire District 1 Lieutenant Jed Wachlin. A witness said the firefighter was pulled from the flames by other crew members following an apparent backdraft.
