Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Launches Global Web Site for Protective Systems

Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics announces the launch of a new global Web site for the company’s Protective Systems division-www.protectivesystems.saint-gobain.com.  The Web site provides firefighters, military personnel, law enforcement, and occupational safety professionals around the world with easy-to-navigate information on the company’s line of products.

“We developed this new site to more directly meet the informational needs of our customers,” said Peter A. Kirk, Market Manager, Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics. “Based on their feedback, we’ve included more in-depth description of global certifications and detailed specifications on our products and technologies, which will help them better identify solutions which best meet their requirements.”

The Web site’s new features include:

  • A guide to understanding National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and European (EN) certification standards
  • Protective System’s comprehensive product and technology portfolio, ranging from hazmat suits to shelters for the U.S. military
  • Custom solutions using Saint-Gobain’s proprietary Coretech™ Barrier Membrane technology

The company’s line of products includes ONESuit® Pro, the industry’s most affordable hazmat suit certified to the NFPA 1991 standard, ONESuit® Flash, ONESuit® Gard, and ONEGlove® Hazmat.

Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics will be introducing its first Level B hazmat suit at the National Safety Council Congress & Expo 2010 in San Diego (October 4-6).

The single-skin design of ONESuit products allows for maneuverability and optimum user comfort.  ONESuit protective gear also offers flame-resistance, extended shelf life, and is compactable for convenient, space-saving storage.
