Sprinkler System Extinguishes Fire at Florida Senior Living Facility

Firefighters responded to a late night fire at a senior living facility that displaced dozens on the island of Venice, Florida.

The fire reportedly began in a microwave, according to a WWSB report (http://bit.ly/1zGdyCE), and triggered the automatic sprinkler system, which put the fire out but caused extensive damage to an entire wing of the facility. The system dumped about three inches of water.
