Deaths in recent high-rise fires has impelled directors of a Fort Worth, Texas, financial firm to authorize the addition of sprinkler system protection to its new home office building currently under construction.

Nearly $200,000 was designated specifically to install complete sprinkler systems on all 10 floors of the Tarrant Savings Association building.

“Even though the TSA building is virtually fireproof, our directors insisted the new structure offer every protection possible to prevent similar circumstances from occurring here,” said E.B. Conley, president and board chairman of the firm.

The directors also urged other building owners to confer with city and fire officials to establish protective codes.
