The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) is holding a Health and Safety Photo Contest. Submit health and safety related photos from your fire, EMS, or rescue department and your photo may be featured in upcoming NVFC materials and resources that promote first responder safety and health.
Everyone who submits a usable photo related to fire and emergency service safety, health, or overall wellness will be entered to win one of several resources courtesy of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Ten winners will be selected. Resources include the 2012 Fire Prevention Week Kit (NFPA); Understanding and Implementing the 16 Firefighter Life Safety Initiatives (National Fallen Firefighters Foundation); Fundamentals of Fire Fighting Skills (Jones and Bartlett); Vehicle Extrication, Levels 1 &II: Principles and Practice (Jones and Bartlett); Chief Officer, Principles and Practice (Jones and Bartlett); Fire and Life Safety Inspection Manual (NFPA); and the Fire Service Guide to Reducing Unwanted Alarms (NFPA).
Photos must pertain to health, safety, wellness, or survival. Examples may include shots of first responders practicing safe response or training procedures, eating healthy or working out, training initiatives, health or safety related events, vehicle safety practices, or anything that conveys the messages of safety, health, or wellness in the fire and emergency services.
Photos are due by Wednesday, August 8. The winners of the materials from NFPA will be announced on August 13.

By submitting a photo(s), you are agreeing that the NVFC has full rights and permission to use the photo(s).
Each usable photo will equal one entry.
There is no limit to the number of photos that can be submitted.
Submit photos via email to kimberly@nvfc.org. The email must contain the name, address, and phone number of the person submitting the photo(s). (*Personal information will not be shared, but is necessary for contacting and shipping the prize should the contestant win.)
