The CITY OF HOBOKEN, New Jersey, received a Class 1 fire insurance rating classification from ISO Commercial Risk Services, Inc., based on an evaluation of the city`s fire department and water system. Only 23 municipalities throughout the United States share the rating. The upgrade was due to recent improvements in fire apparatus; new and advanced equipment; and improved training, maintenance, and fire prevention programs.
