This week in Orlando, Florida, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) training committee met to set a new standard now called NFPA 1400 that will combine all former 1400 series documents into one large document.
- Research: Heat Release Rate Characterization of NFPA 1403 Compliant Training Fuels
- Conducting NFPA 1403-Compliant Live Burn Training in Acquired Structures
- Live Burn: 1403 or No Fire!
- Live-Fire Training: Much Preparation for Safety
The committee is comprised of engaged fire service leaders with some of the FDIC International and Fire Engineering family. This group is fighting forward with NFPA, not fighting against! Positive discussions were had and changes were made to enhance fire service training standards.
