Drill of the Week: Aerial Master Stream with Single Engine Lead-out Supply (NFPA 1410)

By Forest Reeder

This week’s drill features an engine conducting a forward lead-out from a hydrant to a position that allows them to feed an aerial ladder. You may want to consider this a mutual aid response drill where your engine in called upon to supply an aerial ladder at the fire scene. 300′ of supply line is lead-out and 100′ of line to supply the aerial from the engine is required.
