This drill focuses on the truck company’s roof report during fireground operations. Depending on the structure and construction, the status of the roof can be one of the most critical reports to command regarding the integrity of the building.
By “painting a verbal picture” of the roof, you’ll give the interior crews and idea what their operating under, the incoming companies will have a perception of what tools and tactics they will need, and command will have an idea of the most likely direction of fire spread.
