Register for the Fire Corps Academy training classes taking place on Friday, August 19. Three sessions are available covering an introduction to Fire Corps, how to start and implement a program, and Fire Corps’ role in disaster response.
Fire Corps is a federally-funded program that enables community members to assist their local fire/EMS department in non-operational roles. This frees emergency personnel to focus on training and emergency response, while providing an opportunity for citizens to lend their skills and time to help their communities. The Fire Corps Academy provides department personnel and Fire Corps program coordinators with tools, resources, and information to best utilize their non-emergency volunteers.
Classes are free, but attendance is limited to 30 participants per session. You can register, see course descriptions, and view supplemental training opportunities at www.firecorps.org/academy.
