When operating on top floor fires at flat-roof structures, the roof team is often in the best position to take (vent) the windows in the fire room(s) on the top floor. This drill outlines two methods that a roof team can utilize to quickly accomplish this task.
Always keep in mind that these operations MUST be coordinated with the actions of the engine company, and should not be initiated until a charged line is in position to attack the fire.
