Fireground Drills from the Street?  Leverage, Force, and Aggression

Lead Instructor: Lieutenant Katie Johnson, Prince George’s County (MD) Fire/EMS

This class fulfills a critical void in instructor and drill master training programs in addressing the wide variety of body types and sizes. It is a must for anyone instructing or training firefighters on standard fireground functions. Incorporating physiology, body mechanics, weight distribution of equipment and tools, and in-depth firefighting training experiences, the instructors bring their years of experience and study in proven alternative techniques. The practical skills will cover lifting technique, optimizing body weight, leverage, and movement patterns to capitalize on lower-body strength. ALL LEVELS
