A groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of the Albuquerque (NM) Fire Department (AFD) Training Academy was held Tuesday, November 20, 2007. The photo above shows the current academy, recently photographed at night from the top of the facilities drill tower. The photo below highlights the culmination of the ceremony, in which numerous dignitaries along with AFD personnel turned the first spades of dirt.
