Montana Firefighter Dies After Training

A volunteer firefighter in Montana died after fire department training, according to the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA).

Vaughn Volunteer Fire Department Safety Officer Douglas James Casson, 46, completed training that included non-routine physical activity at 2200hrs on Tuesday, August, 5, 2014. Casson passed away at 0200hrs on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at his residence.

Casson is the 56th firefighter fatality reported to the USFA this year.
