N.Y. Chiefs Scholarship

A scholarship fund has been created by the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs to aid local individuals pursuing higher education in fire science and related academic programs. The association hopes the fund will help enhance the quality of fire service leadership in the state.

Named for Ward A. Bohner, executive director of the association, the scholarship fund will be for selected active members of either career or volunteer departments and will be based on merit. Tuition assistance will be a maximum $1000 per year. The deadline to apply is May 15

Applications are available from the association at 8 Van Buren Drive, Kinderhook, N.Y. 12106.
