New Orleans Firefighter Dies During Training

A veteran New Orleans (LA) firefighter died recently while training in New Mexico, according to a news report.

NOLA.com reported (http://bit.ly/1FYTj6a) that Capt. Troy Magee fell ill while taking part in training Sunday in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A fire department press release did not reveal any additional details about the death.

According to the report, Magee received the mayor’s Outstanding Employee award in June after rescuing a car crash victim while off duty.
