NVFC Releases Volunteer Recruitment PSA in Spanish

As part of the new Make Me A Firefighter recruitment campaign, the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) has released a 30-second public service announcement in Spanish. This is the latest in a series of videos and tools designed to raise public awareness of the volunteer fire service and encourage community members to volunteer.

The 30-second PSA features volunteer EMT Jacqueline Delpi explaining in Spanish why she volunteers and why others should consider volunteering in the fire and emergency services. She emphasizes that volunteers come from all backgrounds and are part of a fire service family. Use this PSA to let people in your community know they can make a true difference by volunteering in the fire service.

The PSA directs viewers to MakeMeAFirefighter.org to learn more and connect with their local department. Make sure you have posted your volunteer opportunities through the department portal so that potential volunteers can find you. The portal also contains other tools and resources to help your department implement a successful recruitment campaign.

Access the Spanish-language recruitment PSA on YouTube, and share on your web site, social media, and in outreach to Spanish-speaking populations. You can find English-language videos and PSAs to use in your recruitment efforts here.
