A 30-year-old student died during a firefighter training event Sunday in Hanover, Ontario.
According to CTV News (http://bit.ly/1APfhs9), 12 students were taking part in an ice and water rescue training evolution being conducted by a private company.
Student Adam Robert Brunt became trapped under the ice during the training at approximately 1 p.m., and it took emergency responders 15 minutes to find Brunt and pull him from the fast-moving Saugeen River.
He was rushed to a hospital but was later pronounced dead.
