Partnership for Fire Fighter Safety has Internet home page

The Partnership for Fire Fighter Safety, an organization that educates emergency responders about safety issues related to hazardous-materials incident response, may now be reached on the Internet`s World Wide Web at www.firefightersafety.org.

Featured on the site is the organization`s Responding Safely to Hazardous Materials Incidents: A Guide to Resources of $100 or Less, which lists free and low-cost haz-mat safety resources available to firefighters and other emergency responders. The site also provides links to the web sites of Partnership members and other sites providing safety information.

The Partnership was created in 1995 with the assistance of the National Volunteer Fire Council Foundation. Members include trade associations representing industries that produce and handle hazardous materials, government agencies involved in hazardous-materials emergency response, and fire and emergency service organizations. Carl Johnson, president of the Compressed Gas Association, is chairman. n
