Podcast: The Professional Volunteer Fire Department: Dan Krushinski

Chief Dan Krushinski from the East Franklin Fire Department (East Somerset, New Jersey) joins host Tom Merrill to discuss how his department has been successful recruiting new members. Over a recent three-month period, the department brought in 14 new members. But, as we all know, getting members to join is only part of the equation and keeping them is another challenge on its owns. The chief shares some very interesting concepts and programs his department employs to motivate, inspire, and retain a cohesive group of dedicated professional volunteer firefighters.
