The TRANSCAER TASK GROUP (TRANSportation Community Awareness and Emergency Response) awarded BURLINGTON NORTHERN SANTA FE RAILWAY (BNSF) its national achievement award for its excellence in activities, organizational commitment, financial support, and personnel investment. BNSF has used its Safety Train to train more than 2,800 emergency responders in 60 communities in response techniques in emergencies involving trains carrying chemicals.
