Training Officer’s Toolbox: Tactical Decision Games

By Brian Ward

Tactical decisions games are extremely useful for mentally running through firefighting situations and testing your firefighters‘ knowledge. They also provide great talking points for training at the kitchen table. Sit your crew down at the same time and have everyone complete the questions within the specified time frame (time = stress). Be sure to critique the scenario and see if everyone is operating by the same playbook.
