Tribute to Henderson Fire Department’s Jeff Mann

Jeff Mann was hired by the Henderson Fire Department in 1989. Throughout his twenty year career, Jeff was assigned to rescues, engines companies, and truck companies. He remained a well respected senior firefighter who was committed to the community and the success of his team and the department.  His last day on the job was February 2, 2009. Twenty five days later he would lose his life to cancer. Jeff was the first firefighter to lose his life on the job at the Henderson Fire Department. Throughout his short battle he embodied courage and love for the people he worked with.

This video was created to raise awareness on their 7th Annual Jeff Mann Memorial Golf Tournament on March 27, 2015 at the Revere Golf Club. Established in 2008, this tournament is the HFBA’s largest fundraising event. Proceeds raised from the tournament will go towards supporting various local charities, many of which Jeff assisted himself, such as the: Boys and Girls Club of Henderson, American Cancer Society, Rebuilding Together, Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, American Red Cross Southern Nevada Chapter, CASA Foundation, and S.A.F.E. House. People can register for this great event by visiting www.HFBANV.com/golf. The registration fee is $100 per player or $400 per team.
