True North, LLC Expands Firefighter Training Scholarship Program

True North is pleased to announce the expansion of the True North Firefighter Training Scholarship to three training scholarships per year.

True North offered their first training scholarship in April 2010 and had over 700 applicants. True North’s CEO, Alyx Fier said “We were truly humbled by the response to our first firefighter training scholarship and felt the need to do even more for the community we serve.”

The first scholarship paid for one firefighter to train at the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) in Indianapolis. True North will now offer three fire departments up to $3,000 each for classroom and hands-on training. The best part is that True North will bring the training to the scholarship recipient’s fire station.

True North is proud to announce their partnership with On Scene Training Associates. On Scene Training will facilitate the classroom and hands-on training for True North scholarship recipients. True North’s President, Steve Misiano said “I feel fortunate to be working with some of the best fire service instructors in the country to deliver this critical program”.
