During a push, the request for “more line” is subjective and open to interpretation by the door position. Too much line can shove the nozzle forward or become a cluster when operating in an obscure footprint. Too little will delay the advance or cause the nozzle position to focus more on pulling the line then directing the stream. As Chief Dave McGrail preaches, it is more practical to ask for more line in terms of feet.
