VFIS, a provider of insurance, education, training and consulting services to emergency service organizations, has introduced VFIS University, its enhanced distance learning system. Developed in conjunction with TargetSolutions, a leading provider of online training for public safety agencies, VFIS University enhances previous VFIS distance learning platform. At www.VFISu.com, VFIS University provides free educational programs for emergency service organizations insured by VFIS, including fire departments, ambulance and rescue squads and 911 centers. Girl, 6, Dies in North Philadelphia Rowhome Fire; 8-Year-Old Boy Critical

A 6-year-old girl died in a North Philadelphia rowhouse fire early Friday morning. Multiple other people, including an 8 year-old boy, were hospitalized.
