B-44 (Battalion Chief) quickly declared a second alarm right away. As the fire progressed, companies went defensive after fire found its way to the cockloft and spread throughout the roof of the building. Because of the fire spreading through the cockloft, a third alarm was transmitted and multiple tower ladders were put to work, as well as many blitz lines.
First Alarm: Engines 19-37-26; Ladder 4-13-6; Rescue 1 F-20 F-40 F-9; B-56 (Division).
Second Alarm: Engines 2-36-21; Ladder 2-7-5 B-47
Third Alarm: Engines 38-22-32; Ladder 10-14
