Detroit Diesel Corp.’s new Phaser 4.0 and 6.0 liter engines fit Class 3 through 5 medium duty trucks. The Phaser 4.0 is available in 110 bhp at 2,600 rpm (and 2,500 rpm) with 275 pound-feet torque at 1,600 rpm. The Phaser 6.0 is available at 180 bph at 2,600 rpm (and 2,500 rpm) with 450 pound-feet torque at 1,600 rpm.

Fire Wagons, Inc.’s heavy duty, aluminum, gooseneck trailers designed for fire and rescue use come in pumper, hazardous materials, trench rescue, vehicle extrication, light and air unit, triage unit, and command module models. The pumper unit holds up to 750 gallons and has up to a 1,000 gpm pump. The tractor is a one-ton 4X4 outfitted for wildfire control.

Co.’s Haight Pump Division’s new water-powered Felton wheel and Francis turbine-driven Albany foam concentrate pump sets will dose fluoroprotein, AFFF, or detergent concentrates from drums or bulk into a high-pressure water stream. Four standard sizes, with deliveries from 17 to 57 gpm at pressures up to 285 psi. Specialized models available.

PEMNA’s Dumpster Devil is designed to be connected to a 1 Vi-inch line and deliver a flow without movement of the hose and without typical fire hose reactions. It does not draw a draft when flowing water, so it can be used safely in areas with explosive dust such as grain elevator boot pits.
