Grote Appoints Ken Hoskins to Plant Manager

Hoskins’ New Role Includes Responsibilities for Manufacturing and Warehouse Functions

MADISON, Ind., USA (July 14, 2011)Grote Industries, a world leader in high-performance LED lighting and lighting harness technology for the transportation industry, announced today that Ken Hoskins will be stepping into the role of plant manager for Madison operations.

In this role, Ken will report to Tom Blades, vice president of operations for Grote Industries, and will be responsible for all manufacturing and warehousing functions in Madison. Gary Liter, David Hocking, Debbie Courtney and Jim Plum will report to Ken.

Ken has extensive experience in manufacturing operations. He has previously been the production manager at UGN and the plant supervisor at the Kentucky Steel Center, both comparable positions. 

In addition he has worked in supervisory positions at Newell Rubbermaid and Ichikoh Manufacturing, and he spent 12 years at Toyota, advancing to group leader during that time.

In all of his positions, Ken has gained valuable experiences in Lean Manufacturing environments, and is very familiar with such concepts as Kaizen events, set-up reduction, process flow, and 5S and has been an instructor for lean manufacturing principles.
 
These experiences will enable Ken to continue advancing GPS here in Madison.

Ken currently resides in Berea, KY, but will soon be relocating to our area.
