ISFSI to Accent Learning Process at Fall Session
The learning process will be the theme of the 1982 fall conference of the International Society of Fire Service Instructors in Hartford, Conn., from Oct. 28-31. Beginning at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, Dr. Joseph Duffy, dean of the School of Technology, Central Connecticut State College, will keynote the conference with a discussion of “The World of Learning.”
In the afternoon, workshops on college instructors, EMS, federal instructors, fire safety educators, industrial instructors, municpal instructors, state directors of fire service training, state instructors and volunteer instructors will be held.
On Friday, program development subjects will include ropes, driver training, rural water supply, dispatcher training, EMS, public education, instructor training and garden apartments. Material developed by these discussions will he sent to participants. More workshops will be held on Saturday, focusing on the needs of the members.
Hosted by the Connecticut Fire Department Instructors Association, Connecticut Office of Fire Prevention and Control, and the Hartford Conn., Fire Department, registration is $40 to ISFSI members, $45 to affiliate chapter members, and $55 to nonmembers.
