LSUE Program

Applications for a two-year associate degree program in fire science, are being received by Louisiana State University at Eunice.

The program, offered in cooperation with the LSU Firemen Training Center in Baton Rouge, includes courses on blueprint reading and sketching, fire safety and public education, electrical wiring and codes, fire behavior, building design, insurance grading schedules, fire protection hydraulics, industrial fire protection, tactics and strategy, fire protection systems and equipment, instructor training, law safety inspections and arson investigation, as well as courses in other academic areas.

There are two fire science laboratories on campus and students receive additional experience at the Firemen Training Center in Baton Rouge.
