A brochure from Sun Refining and Marketing Co. describes the full line of Sunoco fleet lubricants.
Engine oils, gear oils, hydraulic fluids, and greases are described in the brochure. There are technical descriptions of each product included, as well as the Sunoco Powertrain Lubricants Quick Reference Guide. A map shows the locations of Sunoco refineries, terminals, and distributors.

Universal sorbent bulletin
A technical bulletin on Chemsorb, a new universal sorbent from Precision Laboratories Inc., describes the product’s advantages and applications.
Chemsorb has been tested on more than 100 chemicals, including acids, alkalies, hydrocarbons, pesticides, and chlorinated compounds. It’s contained within inert “pillows” or “tubes” that can be placed directly on the spill.
The bulletin includes results of independent tests of Chemsorb’s ability to absorb various liquid chemicals and a table comparing it with other products.

Gas detection pamphlet
National Draeger Inc.’s eight-page color pamphlet describes the applications and basic functions of its gas detection products. They include combination monitors, gas and vapor detection tubes, single-point area monitors, and sequential monitoring systems. A selection chart for the gas detection products is included.

Voice communications literature
The Veritrac Series 9000 is featured in a sixpage color brochure from Dictaphone Corp.
The Series 9000 is the company’s first voice-communications recording system that can record up to 240 channels. It features modular design, a microprocessor screen-based master controller, and an uninterruptible power supply. The brochure describes the function of each module on the Expanded Cabinet model; the Series 9000’s search functions; and the All-Channel Safe Scan feature. The recording system’s specifications are included.

The expanded, 108-page Seton Name Plate Co. 1988 catalogue introduces many new, hard-to-find products: a folding outdoor barricade; new OSHA warning signs; chemical storage labels; and a sign and tag laminator.
Complete product descriptions, specifications, illustrations, and price and order forms are included, as well as a nationwide, toll-free telephone number. The new catalogue cites many federal regulations and standards to make selecting the appropriate products easier.

Extinguisher brochure
The invader Back Pack firefighting system is described in a brochure from Perren Fire Protection Ltd.
The Invader carries Halon 1211 in three sizes—3, 5, and 7 kilograms. The harness is fully adjustable. Both the container and the hose assemblies are fitted with quick-release straps and couplings, enabling the container to be changed without taking the harness off the firefighter.
The literature provides specifications on the equipment, including rate and range of discharge and weight when empty and full.

Texas Research Institute Inc.’s National Life Support Air Quality Assurance Program is described in literature from the company.
The literature explains causes and sources of contamination in compressed air both from intake air and within the compressor; effects of contamination on the body; guidelines for developing a safe air quality program; and a sample report.

AutoTrac, a turnkey system of software and computer and communications hardware designed for fleet management, is described in a brochure from Spectrum Cellular Corp.
The system’s two-way messaging and voice and vehicle location functions are described in the brochure. A diagram shows how the system works from transmission to reception at the base station.
