Frank Montagna`s article “Odor of Smoke” was right on target and is a good training tool for firefighters. One additional cause for smoke odors that can be difficult to pinpoint is a plastic or wooden utensil smoldering against the heating element during the drying cycle of a dishwasher. Thanks for the practical information.
